The fee for filing a divorce is $137.00. If you are filing your divorce on your own, you will be responsible for all copies and mailings. All copies are $1.00 per page and mailing depends on weight. You may serve your papers by certified mail or through the Harrison County Sheriff's Office. If you serve by sheriff, there is a $13.00 charge and additional copies of your divorce filing paperwork will be needed.
- To serve by certified mail, you will need 1 original and 2 copies of your divorce filing.
- To serve by Harrison County Sheriff, you will need 1 original and 4 copies of your divorce filing.
If you have minor children you will be required to attend a transparenting seminar. You may select the preferred location for your seminar. Contact the Harrison County Clerk's Office for specific seminar locations.
