Property tax statements were mailed April 6th and the first installment is due by May 11th. But due to the COVID-19 virus, penalties for late payments will not be added until July 10th, per Governor Holcomb. However, the entities in our county are relying on the money collected for property taxes to meet their obligations so we are encouraging anyone who is able to pay by May 11th, to please do so.
While our office is closed to the public at this time you can pay your taxes by mailing them to us at 245 Atwood St. Suite 213 Corydon, In. 47112 or drop them in our drop box outside the Government Center, or pay them online.
The Harrison County Treasurer is responsible for collecting property tax payments twice per year and other tax payments such as personal property taxes. The department also coordinates the county's annual tax sale.
